Minutes of January 22, 2018
The meeting of January 8th was cancelled. Julio Rodriguez attended the Regional CoAs meeting in Otis.
The meeting of January 22, 2018 opened at 10am with N. Champigny, K. Purcell and J. Rodriguez present. R. Champigny and L. Hebert were absent.
J.R. stated he did not intend to renew his appointment to CoA after March. Discussions followed about members commitment for several years without associates /volunteers to maintain activity level. Members are aging and tired. New members are needed and a board increase from 5 to 7 members might help.
K.P. expressed concerns that budget reports are incomplete and unclear.
K.P. Jane Kelley,R,N, foot care nurse, has reduced her visits from every other month to 3 times a years. Great Barrington continues with twice a month appointments. Mrs. Kelley wants us to know that training for certification is available from the Wound and Ostomy Care Association and the American Orthopedic Foot Society.
K.P. heard from Kristen Huss, G.M. of the Pittsfield Suns Baseball Team, about tickets for an event in July. The Council has done this 3 times with 23 to 28 attending.
